3 Effective Gout Home Remedies
October 16, 2012
If you’re one of the very many gout sufferers who are fed up with the expense and horrible side effects of mainstream drug-based gout treatment, and looking for natural home remedies for gout, then you’ll be interested in this article. Here, I describe 3 simple but effective gout home remedies that I’ve tried myself, along with very many other gout victims around the world.
So without further ado here are those three gout home remedies…
Remedy (1) – Water
Drink at least twelve, eight ounce glasses of water daily. This increases hydration which helps to prevent further uric acid crystal formation. It also helps your kidneys to process and flush uric acid out of your body.
Remedy (2) – Bromelain
Take bromelain. Bromelain is an anti-inflammatory enzyme that is found in pineapples. So eat plenty of fresh pineapples. You can also get it in supplement form, which is particularly useful during an attack.
Remedy (3) – Cherries
This is one of my favorite home remedies. Eat between 30 to 40 cherries every 4 hours during an attack. They have natural anti-inflammatory and uric acid reducing properties. You can also take concentrated cherry juice that you’ll get from your local health food store.
These home solutions all work on treating the symptoms during a gout attack. But you also need to prevent those attacks from happening time and time again. And not just for the sake of the pain and discomfort. But also for the prevention of serious problems along the road, such as agonizing kidney stones, other kidney problems and permanent damage to your affected joints.
If you have time, the down-loadable report that I was lucky enough to come across, that helped me to take complete control of my gout, is called The Gout Remedy Report. And I’ve written a review of this report under The Gout Remedy Report Review.
